The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table
Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, demons, and dark forces growing in power within the city.
Heads-up: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to go next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the group enter places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
