I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
